Earthquake in Qinghai Province


On 14 April 2010 a deadly earthquake struck southern Qinghai province causing tremendous loss of life and suffering among the people of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous prefecture. JHF associates in Qinghai, working together with other partners, are already involved in supporting the relief efforts.

TESOL - Preparing to Teach English in China

JHF’s new English Teacher Training Project completed its third TESOL course in July in Tianjin. Four hard-working trainees finished the course, which ran from 5-24 July, 2010. The next course, a 10-week part-time version, is set to begin 7 September.

Teaching Training for Secondary School Teachers in Hebei Province

In mid June, JHF teacher trainers held a two-day training program for local teachers of English at a high school just north of Shijiazhuang, in Ling Shou county.
