Teaching conditions in China vary enormously. Class sizes are traditionally large (can be 50+) though some teachers find they have surprisingly small classes, especially in the leading universities. The facilities available also vary widely, from basic blackboards, wooden desks and stools, to modern purpose-built lecture theatres filled with electronic gadgets.
What almost all teachers have in common is students who are friendly, enthusiastic and eager to learn. Whatever the numbers and conditions, there is the potential for a very rewarding teaching experience where your contribution can make a real difference to the students' lives.
